Dr. Escudero infront of  "And they even say the fish is expensive"

Paloma Herrero wrote:
  • I met Angel and his wife, María Jesús, enthusiastic collaborator of her husband, in Las Palmas. I admired the perfection of his work, unique in its own way and I suggested that he put on marble the work of another great Valencian painter, Ignacio Pinazo, for whom I feel a special affection because I dedicated to him my memory of Graduation in Arts and Angel seemed enthusiastic with the idea.

  • When we met again in Madrid, he showed me his masterly marble, one of 'Pinazo's self-portraits' in which he wears a Bohemian hat. The perfection of the engraving on marble is magisterial, it may have even improved the original if that were possibleand using almost nothing, no colour, obtaining everything with greys and white. An amazing surgeon, an innovator and a very original engraver, Angel Escudero.
